To był zdecydowanie najlepszy start Dawida Nowaka w tegorocznych mistrzostwach świata Yamaha bLU cRU R3 World Cup. Zawodnik Szkopek Team był bohaterem niedzielnego wyścigu na torze w Misano, kiedy startując z 18. pozycji przedarł się na czwarte miejsce, tracąc do podium zaledwie dwie tysięczne sekundy! Druga runda mistrzostw Yamaha bLU cRU R3 World Cup upłynęła pod znakiem ekstremalnych warunków i niesamowitych emocji. Oba wyścigi rozgrywane były w ogromnym upale – temperatura sięgała 36 °C. Jeszcze goręcej było na torze, bo w obu wyścigów walka o zwycięstwo trwała do samego końca.
Ważną częścią tego widowiska był Dawid Nowak. Zawodnik Szkopek Team miał niezwykle trudne zadanie, bo po nieudanych kwalifikacjach startował dopiero z 18. pozycji. Pokazał jednak niezłomny charakter. W sobotę awansował na ośmą pozycję, w niedzielę również szybko przebił się do czołowej dziesiątki. To był dopiero początek emocji, a wszystko miało się rozstrzygnąć na ostatnim okrążeniu. Zawodnicy narzucili szalone tempo. W czołówce zrobiło się bardzo ciasno, niemal na każdym zakręcie dochodziło do niebezpiecznych sytuacji, a z toru wylatywali kolejni kierowcy. W tych ekstremalnych warunkach Dawid poradził sobie świetnie. Omijał kłopoty i wpadł na metę na czwartej pozycji, zaledwie dwie tysięczne sekundy za Christopherem Clarkiem. Oba wyścigi wygrał reprezentant gospodarzy Alessandro Di Persio, który objął prowadzenie w klasyfikacji generalnej.
– Weekend w Misano kończmy w dobrych nastrojach, choć niskie miejsca w kwalifikacjach bardzo skomplikowały naszym zawodnikom plan na wyścig. Wiedziałem jednak, że Dawid jest w stanie powalczyć o duży awans i tak też się stało. W pierwszym wyścigu dało to ósme miejsce, w niedzielę było już znakomicie. Jak zawsze w tej serii mieliśmy ogromny ścisk w czołówce i mnóstwo walki łokieć w łokieć, więc samo utrzymanie się na torze było wyzwaniem. A czwarte miejsce, tuż za podium jest dużym sukcesem. Maks Palmowski przyjeżdżał na punktowanych miejscach, ale widać, że jeszcze trochę brakuje mu odwagi w przepychaniu się. W tak wyrównanej stawce to kluczowa umiejętność, a Maks potrzebuje jeszcze więcej doświadczenia, być poczuć się pewnie w tak agresywnej jeździe – podsumowuje Paweł Szkopek, szef Szkopek Team.
Czwarte miejsce w Misano to najlepszy tegoroczny wynik Dawida Nowaka w Yamaha bLU cRU. Niespełna 17-letni zawodnik awansował dzięki temu na 11. miejsce w klasyfikacji generalnej mistrzostw, a do czołowej dziesiątki traci zaledwie punkt.
– W sobotę, po starcie z dalszej pozycji, musiałem przebijać się do pierwszej grupy. Było dużo walki, w moim przypadku głównie o to, żeby nie odpaść od czołówki. W tych warunkach ósme miejsce przyjmuję jako dobry wynik. W niedzielę byłem już w stanie mocniej włączyć się do walki, a na ostatnim okrążeniu był już kompletny chaos. Przed ostatnim zakrętem wskoczył mi wyższy bieg, próbowałem odpierać atak Christophera Clarka i trochę wypadłem z optymalnej linii toru. Czwarte miejsce to świetny wynik, ale strata do podium była tak minimalna, że pozostaje lekki niedosyt – podkreśla Dawid Nowak.
Kolejne punkty w Yamaha bLU cRU zdobył również Maksymilian Palmowski, drugi z zawodników Szkopek Team. Dla wrocławianina to dopiero pierwsze starty w stawce najbardziej utalentowanych zawodników z całego świata i najważniejszym celem jest zbieranie doświadczenia. W Misano Palmowski zajmował 14. i 12. miejsce, w klasyfikacji generalnej pod drugiej rundzie zajmuje 17. pozycję.
– Pierwszy wyścig nie wyszedł mi tak, jak chciałem. Szybko straciłem kontakt z grupą i niemal przez cały dystans jechałem sam. W niedzielę walczyłem w drugiej grupie, mogłem się więcej pościgać i poprawiłem pozycję. Mam nadzieję, że z wyścigu na wyścig będzie tylko lepiej i w kolejnej rundzie powalczę o lepszy wynik – powiedział Maksymilian Palmowski.
