W nadchodzącym sezonie zespół skupi się na Mistrzostwach Polski i obronie tytułu w prestiżowej klasie Superbike.
Ekipa Bartłomieja Lewandowskiego w motocyklowych MŚ FIM EWC ściga się od 2016 roku, a on sam w sezonie 2020 został najwyżej sklasyfikowanym Polakiem w historii serii.
Polski zespół, przez lata wspierany przez BMW i Pirelli, regularnie ocierał się o podium, wystawiając w swoich barwach nie tylko największe polskie nazwiska, ale też wielu zawodników zagranicznych światowego formatu.
W sezonie 2023 Team LRP Poland nie tylko wywalczył razem z Markiem Szkopkiem mistrzostwo Polski prestiżowej kategorii Superbike, ale także ponownie rywalizował w czołówce najbardziej wymagającej klasy Formula EWC w ramach MŚ FIM EWC.
Przygotowania do sezonu 2024, który rozpocznie się już w kwietniu od 24-godzinnego wyścigu na legendarnym torze Le Mans, przerwała jednak utrata fabrycznego wsparcia.
„Razem z całym zespołem napisaliśmy kawał pięknej historii polskiego motorsportu i nie powiedzieliśmy jeszcze ostatniego słowa – mówi założyciel, zawodnik i manager zespołu, Bartłomiej Lewandowski, który miniony sezon zakończył z tytułem drugiego wicemistrza Polski klasy Superstock 1000. – Nasze przygotowania do sezonu 2024 były bardzo zaawansowane, a plany ambitne. Właśnie wróciliśmy z treningów w Hiszpanii.
Dysponujemy bardzo mocnym, międzynarodowym składem oraz solidnym wsparciem naszych wieloletnich partnerów, z marką Pirelli na czele. Niestety, nie możemy otrzymać na czas jednostek napędowych i nie jesteśmy w stanie stanąć do walki w FIM EWC. To dla nas ogromny cios, bo cały zespół liczył na walkę o wysokie pozycje w mistrzostwach świata. W tym sezonie skupimy się na rywalizacji w mistrzostwach Polski i europejskiej serii Alpe Adria, pracując jednocześnie nad powrotem do MŚ w 2025 roku.
Sercem jesteśmy z BMW, ale bierzemy pod uwagę wszystkie opcje, ponieważ priorytetem jest dla nas dysponowanie jak najbardziej konkurencyjnym pakietem i walka o jak najwyższe pozycje. Jednocześnie chcielibyśmy bardzo podziękować wszystkim naszym sympatykom i kibicom oraz partnerom. Wasze wieloletnie wsparcie i doping motywują nas jeszcze bardziej do powrotu do walki w MŚ w sezonie 2025”.
